Glenn Residence Hall

An all-male residence hall located on East Campus which is part of the freshman experience. It was named after William H. Glenn who was responsbile for starting the Georgia Tech Alumni Association.

Glenn Residence Hall recently underwent a comprehensive renovation of the historic dormitory building, including the addition of a new connecting structure to include program space such as an exercise facility, meeting rooms, study lounges, and lobby. The attic of each building was renovated to add student dormitories and support space. Elevators have been added to both existing buildings to provide accessible vertical circulation.

Honorary- The Glenn Residence Hall was named after William H. Glenn who was the first person to register at Georgia Tech and was a member of the school's second ever graduating class in 1891 with a B.A. in science.

William H. Glenn

William Glenn is a native Georgian and was the first person to register at Georgia Tech. He was also a member of the school's second ever graduating class in 1891. During his life he worked at the Atlanta Consolidated Street Railway and later became a vice president and manager at the Georgia Railway and Electric Company.
