Noonan Golf Facility
- Construction began in the spring of 2013
- The facility will have a state-of-the-art clubhouse
The Noonan Golf Facility is currently in the planning stages and construction is provisionally scheduled to begin in the spring of 2013. Thomas E. Noonan (ME ’83) and Kim P. Noonan (IM ’83) provided the lead commitment for the golf program.
The project encompasses a total renovation of the existing site, which is located adjacent to the Georgia Tech campus between 14th and 16th Streets. When completed, the facility will include a teaching center, a comprehensive practice area, a par-3 course and a newly constructed, state-of-the-art clubhouse.
Tom Noonan assumed the role of president and CEO at JouleX in 2010 and also remains a partner at TechOperators, an early-stage investing firm he co-founded in 2008. He is the former chair, president and CEO of Internet Security Systems (ISS), which he cofounded in 1995 and was acquired by IBM for $1.5 billion in 2006.
