John F. Brock’s passion for Georgia Tech has been long admired since he was a child and attended Georgia Tech graduating in 1970 with a Degree in Chemical Engineering and then a Masters in Chemical Engineering in 1971. Mr. Brock used his degrees to succeed in the beverage industry joining Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. in April 2006 as President and CEO as well as a member of the Board of Directors. However, Mr. Brock’s entrepreneurial success never stopped him from taking time to support the institute he loves. John can be seen cheering on the many Tech athletic teams as well as holding active roles on both the Georgia Tech Foundation and the Alexander-Tharpe Fund boards. In the past he has served as a member of the Georgia Tech Advisory Board and his 25th reunion committee, and he was named a College of Engineering Distinguished Alumnus in 1996. Most recently, in February 2013, Mr. Brock was awarded The Joseph Mayo Pettit Distinguished Service Award at the Georgia Tech Gold and White Honors Gala. John is happily married to his wife Mary; both of them are tremendous assets to the Georgia Tech community.
